Forest, Rachel Lockwood 25th August 2013

For the past year, Rachel has been painting on location in woodland near to her studio in North Norfolk. Rachel has painted 48 oil sketches on paper while working, in all weather, in the forest. Using the knowledge gained during her time in the forest, Rachel has prepared a collection of large oil paintings. Some of these include the wildlife that wandered into her study area, while others concentrate purely on the light and shade within the forest.
